The Workers Assistance Program of Texas is a program to help union members and their families who may be experiencing problems as a result of alcohol and or drug abuse. Officially known as the United Labor Legislative Committee Workers Assistance Program of Texas, it is a program from the Texas AFL-CIO, with cooperation from the Texas Commission on Alcoholism.

This collection contains the 1974-1978 organizational papers of the Workers Assistance Program of Texas (WAPT), a division of the AFL-CIO that helps union members and their families with the treatment and prevention of alcohol abuse.
